Welcome to Den's Den I hope you enjoy and come back often. What will you find here? Who knows? I don't, and it's my site, but hopefully it will always be entertaining or informatative or both. You will find jokes,cartoons,opinions and about anything else and although some of the jokes and discussion subjects may not be suitable for children I hope you will never find any hardcore pornography.

One thing is that I like trains! You will probably see railroad art etc. on this site as I grew up in a railroad family. My father was a lineman, my grandfather was a cook in a crew car, and I'm not sure what my greatgrandfather did but when I was about 4 years old I was photographed standing beside him for the Norfolk & Western Railroad Mag. I don't remember much about him except he looked 10 feet tall and was quite a figure with his tall slim statue and snowwhite hair and large handlebar moustach.

Well while most of my friends wanted to grow up to be cowboys, policemen, firemen, or some other exciting profession I wanted to grow up to be a bum, that's right a hobo to be more specific, but as you will see in the next section work kept getting in my way !

I had heard stories when I was growing up about hobo's jumping railcars and going anywhere in the country for FREE, staying in hobo jungles, tying a hammock under a railcar and riding several hundred miles with your butt 12" above the rail at 70 mph.but it has some serious drawbacks too, one of which was the "Bulls". They were some very large men who were hired to chase the hobos off the trains and if they busted a few heads in the process so be it. Also it carried no benifits like medical or retirement, I mean after all how does a hobo/bum retire anyway, go to work maybe ?

Well enough about what might have been, read on to find out what was.
